Eyelid Tearing Multiphysics from Lagoa is a Thing of Beauty

3D Human CAD Models

My eyeball lids have peeled back over my head… by themselves. I think I feel pain, but I don’t know, because I’m in shock at the coolness I’m seeing.

Even though there’s nothing this cool in 3D product development, we can imagine if there were… and the time wasted throwing our virtual designs into the sides of virtual walls. Lagoa Technologies Inc, a start-up by Thiago Costa, is showing off his first version of their Multiphysics solver. Definitely keep an eye on this company. Oh, and slap some Vaseline on those eyelids, they’re about to be torn.

Sweet Eye Stabbing 3D Using Generative Music Visualization

17 Feb, 2010 by Josh Mings in TECH

Ok, we’re about to raise this 3D thing a notch. Scratch that. We’re about to raise it 5,000 notches and 10 sequential pokes to the eye to say, this is how you will create 3D geometry in the future.

Yes, not only will you be a concert violinist, you’ll also be a 3D modeling GENIUS. KER-BAAAM. Jonas Friedemann Heuer developed the Clavilux 2000 to visualize how musical notes are being played by the musician and to remind you of when your clavicle shot out your chest skin at that New Year Eves party in 1999. Par-tay!

More SolidWorks and AutoCAD Data Visualization on Twitter Plus Extra

17 Jul, 2008 by Josh Mings in ROCKIN'

Why, it ws only a few weeks ago we did a comparison of the Twitter talk about SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Jeff Clark at Neoformix is at it again with their stream of consciousness version that shows the density of words used in for a term over time. What do you think the most used word when discussing SolidWorks is?

“The Twitter StreamGraph shows the usage over time for the words most highly associated with the search word. One of these series together with a time period are in a selected state and coloured red.”

Somebody. Please Make 3D CAD Look This Cool.

21 May, 2008 by Josh Mings in ROCKIN'

There’s not enough explodin’ stuff in CAD these days. It’s all sketch this, extrude that. So, when I saw this, I just had to show it to you. Some of the 3D visualization out there just amaze me. But this video, blows my mind.

TSNStudio’s Extreme Loading® is an engineered simulation technology originally designed for structural analysis…Extreme Loading® quickly generates iterative visuals with the added realism of material based physics.”

Yeah, that’s not CAD right? We don’t need the fancy images and effects to build a suitable valve clamp huh? But you gotta admit, having a 3D CAD System that is as realistic as possible would be really fun to use.
