SolidWorks Slams on the Service Pack Brakes for 64 bit 2009 & 2010 *Updated*

I’d tell you all to stand up simultaneously and start slapping each other while screaming and going into a frenzied panic, but that would be putting it mildly. What you should do is slap each other, scream, and start pulling the cords violently from the wall socket and flicking the light switches off and on… There, now we’re in proper state of hysteria. Why?

Well, it just so happens that there are issues with the 64-bit versions of SolidWorks 2009 SP5, 2010 SP1 or 2010 SP2 which have subsequently been pulled from the Customer download area… seems a SolidWorks software surgeon left a pair of forceps in the body cavity before closing up Mr. SolidWorks 64bit. 10 Things That Still Sucks the Big Lemon in SolidWorks 2010.

So, last week we looked at a lot of new features in SolidWorks 2010 – the ‘best’ features and how to use some of the more prominent ones. It was, by far, a brief look at what will spill onto your screen come release day.

There were a few mentions of what was lacking in the new release, but now we swing right through the middle, as hard as we can, tearing as few important ligaments as possible. I’ll touch on ten, but no doubt you could add a few more. What would they be?
