Well, it’s not every day you come in from towel whipping pigeons, sit down to your computer, swat away a few feathers and find a screen full of fresh SolidWorks video tutorials waiting for you. Today is such a day. Left coast bad-boy Alex Ruiz, who you may know as the SolidWorks Geek, has been busy over the past year putting together one of the most complete SolidWorks courses I’ve believe I’ve seen in modern times. It’s called SolidWorks 2011 Video Training (aff) and packs a beefy 96 lessons into 11.5 hours of personal Ruiz-style, video instruction.

Open your mouth, it’s here. If you’re in charge of implementing SolidWorks or in charge of bribing IT with chili-cheese fries to install it, you now have to consider the ramification of upgrading to the new version… or throwing caution to the wind and just going for it. Either way, if you’re on subscription, you can download SolidWorks 2011 from the Customer portal.

SolidWorks 2011 Preview: PV360, Assembly Features and More Shocks To Your Gnoggin’

It’s been nearly two weeks since I fell down a flight of stairs at the Anaheim convention center after some new features for SolidWorks 2011 were previewed at SolidWorks World, but that’s not gonna stop me from spitting up blood to tell you about them.

Last week, we talked possible enhancements, but this is different. These are real features you’ll see in the next version of SolidWorks. Yeah, you haven’t even upgraded to SolidWorks 2010, but come on, SolidWorks 2010… so last decade.
