Who woulda thought!? Hard drives getting smaller? and thinner? Absolutely unheard of. Things (we) usually get fatter and uglier over time, not thinner and sleeker. Leave it to Seagate to shake up the universal trend and leave us inspired with a cool, compact design of technology.

You saw it at CES. Now, Seagate has announced that the ‘World’s slimmest, portable external hard drive’ is available. Perhaps the coolest thing about this drive – it has 320GB running at 7200rpm through a USB3.0 socket. Take a look…

Seagate Drops Big, Fat Storage on Small-Biz and Portable Peeps

Step back price conscious data storage shoppers. 3 new contenders in the NAS (network attached storage) market have risen from the tera-byte tundra of Seagate Technology. True, they’ll only store billions of files, instead of quadrillions, but for the price and features, I think you’ll be ok for a few months.

The Seagate BlackArmor brand splits off a 4TB shared storage solution for up to 20 PCs, an external model with up to 2TB, and a portable version, thinner than your wallet, with a mere 500GB. And besides all the data capcity, they’re pretty slick looking.
