Today, as a supplement to their free 3D modeling program, 123D. Autodesk has introduce Autodesk 123D Sculpt for the iPad. They’re spreadin’ the 3D bulgin’ love all over Vancouver where they are showing it off at SIGGRAPH 2011 and they already have it up in the iTunes apps store, ready for you to download and poke around in. They released a new iPad app called Tinkerbox and increased the smile coefficient you have with your child as you heap the joys of physical simulation upon them level by platform-stacking level. That is if you have an iPad. If you have an Android tablet, send Autodesk a napkin soaked with the tears of your child. Flip it!

The people responsible? Newscape Technology. They have a bit of a handle on 3D and mapping and they’re going up against the likes of Google Earth and Microsoft Virtual Earth to prove it. They gave you a taste with the 3D Paris and Mobile 3D city apps for the iPhone.
