I’ve always wanted to let up for a few minutes, take a break from marking all over my face and arms and really get into the nitty-gritty of making my 3D sketch shapes look magnificent.

Fortunately, Spencer from IDSketching is here to show us how to do just that. SPLINES! You say that too loud in a room full of structural engineers and you’ll either have 5 different types of guns pointed at you and a stapler in your forehead or… just… some very strange looks.

Nonetheless, you love Splines, or at the very least have a mild curiosity about them. A curiosity that has led you here. We can’t keep you from upsetting your co-workers with curviness, but we can show you how to control the curves and give you a little better understanding of how these sucka’s work.

How To Take A SolidWorks Assembly Top-Down In A Single 3D Sketch

If you’re the type of person that can turn peas into peas soup with a loud grunt from a squat position, this post may not be for you. However, if you’re mildly pea-challenged, like myself, and also wondering about constructing sub-assemblies to control them in other assemblies, read on.

Often, you’re using SolidWorks, taking measurements and changing dimensions to make it fit into another assembly. Well, there’s a cooler way to do this and it’s much easier that changing the matter of a pea with the power of your mind.
